If reality shows reflect the ‘reality' of American culture, then I'm jumping ship.

Maybe I can head north and use my novice French to assimilate in Quebec.

One thing's for sure, on Nov. 28, E! plans to release a new reality show that will make my emigration necessary.

The depravity of the disturbing premise might be so great that all of America's social constructs will collapse, leaving our country a chaotic mess in the hands of Jersey Shore-esque meatheads and women at their materialistic peak: brides.

As the press release states, "Bridalplasty brings together engaged women who are

seeking complete image transformations before their big day – they want the dream wedding AND the dream body to go along with it."

The competitors go head- to-head each week in bridal-themed challenges, with each

week's winner getting a surgery off her wish list.

the veil to find an entirely different woman than the one he professed his love to.

Even without the reaction of the husband-to-be, the nature of the show is tragic.

The bridal industry feeds on women's low-self esteem and Bridalplasty violates these already sensitive women.

A painted barn looks better than one falling into disrepair, and any emotional problems can be fixed by looking fabulous on the outside.

And doesn't everyone
