Armie Hammer and Amber Tamblyn Call out James Wood for Hypocritical Comments

The upcoming movie, which has already been receiving a lot of praise at different film festivals is about the love between a 24-year-old and 17-year-old in 1980's Italy.

"As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency", Woods tweeted, using the hashtag, "#NAMBLA".

"Shortly after, Armie responded to James" post, "Didn't you date a 19 year old when you were 60.?"

The 70-year-old actor denied he tried to take Tamblyn and her friend to Las Vegas when the pair were 16 years old after the actress, now 34, claimed as much on Twitter.

The film, which hits theaters on November 24, already achieved critical acclaim at Sundance and at this weekend's Toronto International Film Festival, and it depicts a relationship between a 24-year-old and 17-year-old in 1980s Italy.

He replied to Woods' homophobic sentiments with a flawless drag of his own.

Lena Dunham was among those to praise Hammer and Tamblyn for their response to Woods. "The second is a lie", he added over Tamblyn's claim. Woods later dropped the suit after receiving a letter signed by the user acknowledging that he didn't know if Woods used cocaine.

After Woods was accused of homophobia for his remarks, Hammer then responded to Woods' comments by accusing him of hypocrisy too, noting the age difference between the actor and ex-girlfriend Ashley Madison. "And I had images of my daughter being at school, and she's 13 years old, and people are teasing her and printing out pictures of my penis and, I thought, 'Oh man!'" Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you've done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.
